What would the world be like without the invention of the toddler sippy cups, I would think a lot messier. You wonder how people come up with such useful inventions, this solves a very big problem with toddlers learning to drink from a cup.

Sippy cups have come a long way since my sons were toddlers, the cups today are very high quality and much more spill safe than in the past.

Technology has allowed the addition of many new features for sippy cups. One of the biggest improvements is the insulation of the cups. This allows the liquids to stay cold and keep them spoiling for a much longer period of time.

Using toddler cups indeed will be a lot easier for people to keep things less messy. It is really a pain when you need to be near a toddler just to make sure he/she drinks without spilling anything on the floor.
These cups will come in handy especially while travelling in a car so that you can focus on driving and give up on the idea of looking at your toddler once in a while just to make sure things don’t mess up.

Hey there Janice, my little one is starting to use sippy cups so this article is timely. I learned a few things about the disadvantages like dental decay and delay in using cups so that’s something to watch out for.

I do have one question – would you recommend BPA free cups or glass bottle instead? Since there are so many controversies with this topic. Thanks.

      Hi Cathy,

Thank you for the feedback on the Sippy Cup Review.

In answer to your question you need to make the decision that you are most comfortable with. Both options are very safe. The key to the BPA free is that the liquid is not stored in the cup for a long period of time. It is safe for the liquid to come in contact with the plastic without any risk for any length of time the liquid comes in contact with the plastic, My preference is to empty and refill the cup on a regular basis.

Glass is also a good choice. The question is how well it is cushioned to prevent breakage.

The decision is based on individual products and you instinct about there safety for your child.

I’m glad I could provide some insight for you. Please share this site with those you know that would benefit from the information provided,

      Best regards, Janice
